On Thursday October 16th an unveiling of the new fresh food market will see Westfield shoppers enjoying a more market-style shopping experience when sourcing their fresh food items from now on.

Announced by Scentre Group, it is the first stage of the $475 million Westfield Miranda re-development and will ‘transform the new space on level one into the epicentre of gourmet convenience in Sydney’s South’.

A true foodie experience has been promised with live cooking demonstrations, expert food providores and crates of daily fresh food on offer via market-inspired stalls.

Kate Holsgrove, Scentre Group Regional Manager said, “We are excited to welcome shoppers to the first stage of the Westfield Miranda redevelopment on October 16. The farmer’s market-style fresh food precinct will offer shoppers the most comprehensive selection of fresh and exotic foods in Sydney’s south with the convenience of a 90 minute express parking area.”

“In redeveloping Westfield Miranda we have considered the culture , lifestyles and aspirations of our shoppers to create an inviting fresh food market that the Shire will love. The new precinct will appeal to foodies, families and the health conscious—whether they are picking up a few quick items for dinner or meandering around the market stalls and sampling fare”, says Kate Holsgrove.

And what would a launch be without a celebration! A festival of activities will be held on October 16 providing cooking demonstrations and an appearance by World-renowned author, Sarah Wilson, of ‘I Quit Sugar’. Why not head back over on October 18 when visitors will be given the opportunity to flip up some pancakes at the very popular Pancake Bar and experience the craft of sushi making on the 19th.

So you are the ULTIMATE FOOD LOVER??

The highly anticipated line-up of restaurateurs in the new indoor/alfresco dining space set to open late 2014 has been released… drum roll please…
